Roast beef is my get-to Thanksgiving dinner, equally I don't like turkey. I was looking to do something a little different when I came across this recipe. Normally I read through reviews earlier I'll try something, especially when it's for a big family unit dinner. I decided to take the risk with this i. ABSOLUTELY LOVED It! We used a top sirloin roast instead of a standing rib, but followed things pretty closely otherwise. The meat was tender, juicy, and very flavourful. The gravy I made with the drippings was amazing. We loved it so much that nosotros will exist making it over again afterward this week when we accept different dinner guests.

Fantastic recipe - whenever I tell people I brine a rib roast they call up I'chiliad crazy. Until they try this. I usually just go out off the French Onion soup and sub Beef Broth.

Made exactly every bit written and flavor is outstanding! The only change I fabricated was to cooking fourth dimension. I constitute a fool-proof method that cooks it to a perfect medium rare center every fourth dimension. Pre-heat oven to 500 degrees. Roast in oven at this temp for five minutes per pound, then plow oven off, do not open at all for two hours. No need to permit it stand earlier carving when yous take information technology out considering it's already stood the last bit to return juices to the center.

I don't ever venture making a recipe with simply iv reviews, however I felt strongly that this was going to be a adept 1 and information technology wasn't complicated. I followed the recipe exactly and hoped for the best seeing information technology was for a Christmas Day dinner. I was non disappointed. It was delicious and got rave reviews. Definitely a keeper.

I fabricated this for a 50th Altogether Political party and it was absolutely delicious. I accept to say that I was concerned almost brining such an excellent cut of meat in coffee but decided I would give it a try and I'g so glad I did. I followed the directions to a "T" and the roast came out PERFECT - medium rare, and then juicy, melt in your oral cavity tender and so flavorful. (There was no hint of coffee in the cooked meat and then don't be concerned most brining the meat in java). Our guests loved information technology and raved about it all through dinner and two friends asked me for the recipe and then they could brand it for two of their upcoming events. This recipe has been added to my "favorites" and volition now be my "go to" recipe when planning a decadent, elaborate, fancy repast.

Amazing recipe! Only matter I had to practice is add 2c of h2o to,pan during final portion of cooking! Everyone raved near it and gravy was outstanding!! Also, had to cook longer..important to have meat thermometer!

Five star reviews always become my attention and I was intrigued seeing brewed coffee as ane of the ingredients. I halved the recipe because my roast was only 3 to 4 lbs. I marinated it overnight and cooked it in a 375 oven until it registered medium well on the meat thermometer. I did non accept time or patience to cook it per instructions provided, ie, turning the oven off for a period of time and so turning it dorsum on to finish cooking the meat. I allow it rest for about twenty minutes before etching and omg, what a tender, flavourful roast! I'll definitely exist keeping this marinade for future!!!

This is the starting time prime number rib roast that I have ever fabricated. I decided to try it for Christmas and it turned out astonishing. Information technology was juicy and well seasoned. Information technology was just every bit skilful every bit the beef in the major steak houses.

Used the brine recipe on a smaller and different cut roast so I had to adjust the cooking method. Was very good. Also, I subbed just a heaping spoon of onion powder for the soup, since information technology'due south something I don't purchase.

Didn't get to marinate as long as suggested just turned out great. My wife is not a large roast eater and she enjoyed it.

Showtime fourth dimension brining anything, and did a side-by-side with a typical roast that I would make before. This recipe absolutely blew my family unit and me away. I'll be experimenting with this base recipe for years to come!

It was certainly tasty only too salty. " If" I were to make information technology again I would cut the salt to 3/four c. and simply apply one/2 of the dry onion soup mix and just employ some plain dried onion.

This was first-class, and will be the merely recipe I use from now on! I was apprehensive with the amount of minced garlic chosen for only the seasoning is perfect. Not having whatsoever French Roast java on paw I used strong brewed medium roast coffee and it was superb; better than most eating house prime rib I've eaten! Thank you for sharing this melt in your oral cavity recipe!!

Having never made prime rib or rib roast, I followed the recipe exactly. I fabricated a gravy out of a combo of the drippings and a bit of the brine, which was amazing on the beef and accompanying potatoes. This is my new holiday specialty!

OMG... since trying this out last twelvemonth...I only make roast beef this way... the brining is fundamental... also Ive done information technology with Prime rib at Christmas... across delicious.. note though, I preheat the oven to 500F and melt it 20 min per pound... then Plough OFF the oven and DON'T open it until the correct temperature is reached. this tin take a while but totally worth information technology. my guests were floored at how good it was...

We made for Christmas dinner (as described) and it was outstanding. No residual coffee flavor - the meat was tender and juicy and delicious. I was intrigued past the recipe since every review was a 5-star and am then glad nosotros tried it! Highly recommend this recipe!

Nosotros loved it! However, I was thinking virtually changing the coffee part into something a niggling different this fourth dimension, as this is how I did information technology the commencement three times I made it. Perhaps I will experiment a little as tomorrow is the 24-hour interval earlier Easter. Perhaps some cooking sherry or vino?

I just roasted it in oven like a regular roast, at 350f. Very moist, great flavour!

Splendid. I used dry beefy onion soup mix, no coffee, less chopped onion. I did rinse meat before seasoning to cook. I heated onion from brine in a piddling olive oil in bottom of pan earlier adding rack to pan. I used a butter paste, with a few drops of olive oil and the seasons I like on meat (garlic and herb, greek season, onion powder, fresh thyme, rosemary etc) mixed in the paste, to rub meat downwards before cooking. I also cooked the 2nd time for 75 minutes because nosotros wanted it medium well. It was my 1st time preparing a dish I've wanted to cook for a long time but needed a practiced recipe for tenderness and I'yard glad I chose this one.

I used this recipe for an eight lb prime rib roast...it turned out pretty awesome, but we did demand to cook it quite a bit longer at the end. Non sure if it was because information technology was prime rib (no bones) instead of continuing rib. The taste was amazing!

OMG, this was Then skillful. Did not sense of taste the java at all and the meat had astonishing flavour! I did cook it for 14 minutes at 500 and then turned the oven off for ii hours. I used a ii.5 lbs Eye Round roast which tin can be tough considering it is very lean. Information technology was a little tougher only not so much. It came out pretty pink but not pink plenty for my husband and me. I call back I volition melt it less side by side time(for this cut of meat). Nosotros will be using this brine from now on as our go to!

Absolutely perfect! I had a prime rib roast that had been the freezer for awhile. I was hoping that brining would bring back the freshness and flavour. This one did information technology! I also used the instructions for cooking that was in these reviews. At 8lbs I put the roast on at 500° for xl-45mins then turned the oven off and left it for 2hrs. It cooked to a perfect medium rare throughout. I made gravy from the drippings, and it was glorious! I'thou making it over again this weekend.
